It all begins with trust. Maybe your grandparents wanted to provide you security for the unforeseen future, or maybe they wanted to avoid the estate tax, either way now you are the lucky beneficiary of a trust fund. The unlucky part is that the tradition is not to inform beneficiaries well about the structure and their agency regarding the trusts they will benefit from. In partnership with Headwaters Foundation for Justice, In Her Interest will host a conversation with trust beneficiaries in the interest of filling in the gaps where traditional estate planning falls short of empowering beneficiaries.
